CHRISTMAS YULE EGGNOG

separate the yolks and whites of 1 doz eggs
first beat the yolks and then in separate bowl beat the whites
pour them together and add 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
6 oz rum
2 lbs sugar
beat into stiff batter
add 1 qt milk
1 qt sweet cream
2 qts blended whiskey
stir and refrigerate over-night
stir again before serving in punch glasses
